I will be doing a LIVE painting on February 2nd at this fantastic event held every two months at the fabulous MINT MUSEUM in Uptown Charlotte, NC.
On February 2nd, we will be celebrating Black History Month with Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin & Queen of Salsa Celia Cruz, along with the independence of the Dominican Republic, to reflect commUNITY through music, dancing, visual art, and cultural appreciation.
$12 general admission/ $9 Mint members ($1.00 off general admission before 9:00 pm)
Adults enjoy 4 hours of Afro-House, Afro-Cuban and Latin-American dance rhythms with DJ Jorge Moran, live musicians, and unique themes to celebrate multi-cultures, ethnic and gender diversity, dance, visual and performing art. Guests can semba, salsa, bachata, cha cha, line dance, and step to other dance forms relative to various global communities as well as enjoy other performing and visual art (including live painting) by local artists. Free Dance Lessons @ 7:45 and 9:00 p.m. with Rumbao Latin Dance Company. This is a drop-in event for adults with discount admission before 9 pm. Ball room and other dance programs are welcome. Complimentary party favors while they last and party favors; cash bar.
